How it started
Meet Marci & Colby
It all started with one knockout dessert. Years ago, Marci set out to find a fruit tart recipe that even the pickiest family member would love. She ended up creating her now-famous Lemon Mousse Fruit Tart. The compliments and requests kept rolling in, and that spark turned into a dream: a custom baking business where every creation is made with heart.
Ever since then, Marci has been experimenting with new flavor combinations and decorations, and having a blast putting together entire themed dessert bars for birthdays, baby showers, anniversaries, and other special occasions. Nothing is too big or too small. Self-taught and always learning through specialty courses, her goal is simple: beautiful, tasty, fresh desserts that are as pleasing to the eye as to the taste buds.
In 2022, Marci and her brother Colby Abshire opened the doors to Slice of Heaven at 300 North Samish Way in Bellingham, WA. Over the years, the bakery has grown into a neighborhood favorite. Whether you need a show-stopping cake, a cozy breakfast, or a full dessert spread for your next event, Marci is always happy to try something new. Feel free to reach out with any questions.

Our Space
Step inside and you will find a warm, welcoming space filled with the smell of fresh-baked goods. Our display cases are stocked daily with cupcakes, bars, cakes, and pastries, all made right here. Grab a seat, order a coffee, and stay awhile. We are located at 300 North Samish Way in Bellingham.
